Day 8: Jackson, WY: Photos #2

The famous barn off Antelope Flats outside of Jackson.
An even bigger bull moose was well-hidden about 50 yards away from the first one.  Got to within about 20 yards of him.  Didn't dare get much closer as I was upwind from him and was concerned if I got much closer I wouldn't be able to outrun him.
See the rack?  The Snake River is right behind him and the building is about 400 yards away- the visitor center to the park.
Big bull moose bedded down on the flats next to Snake River right outside of the appropriately named Moose Junction

What an amazing sunset we were treated to.  On one side there were 3 moose and the other was this view!  All taken with my point and shoot Canon G10- a fantastic little camera.

  2. the photos are getting better and better...love the sunset, and the moose are spectacular...your comment about being upwind, are they really dangerous to humans? I thought they just bolted away.
This trip is awesome and I am jealous. Planning to join you on revisit of Yellowstone in the future.
